Perfect home and office phone

The Panasonic KX-TG9472B 2 lines phone, with digital answering system was just what I was looking for. It comes with two handsets and I added one more. Perfect reception and I don't have any interference with the WiFi frequency.
The answering machine works fine and I enjoy the clear sound. The initial setup is very straight forward, following the clear instructions. So far I am very happy with my purchase.

The main reason that I ordered this model is because the Panasonic on-line techinical specifications clearly indicated that one of the features was a "Call-Block" program on each of the two lines. When I received it, there was no mention of this feature in the Instruction Manual and when I called Panasonic Customer Service, the representative referred me to a supervisor, who stated that this unit did not have a Call-Block feature and did not seem to be interested in the fact that it "was not as specified or advertised". I returned the unit, without using it.

Elegant phone but disapointing features

I purchased this phone to replace a "clunky" at&t dual line 3 year old model. First the positives: setup is a breeze and the phone is elegant and very intuitive to operate. I especially like the display which is large and clear. It took me a while to learn the Outlook plug in (auto dial) feature because I didn't read the instructions. The instructions tell you not to connect the cord to the computer until instructed but I was never so instructed. I connected the cord and just rebooted my Windows 7 computer and the device driver installed correctly. And speaking of the cord, the one supplied is very short. I would recommend buying a longer one unless your phone is almost on top of your computer. After "wimping out" and reading the instructions, I found the auto dial feature very cool. It frees you from moving between Outlook and the key pad to dial. You dial directly from the add on screen in Outlook. Now the negative: I'm an at&t customer. The call blocking feature requires caller ID; voice mail and caller block purchased through at&t. Well, if you have voice mail you can't use this phone because you'll have a U-verse phone.
